Information You Should NEVER Share on Social Media

Facebook and/or Twitter:
  1. Information regarding your dating escapades
  2. Complaints related to the past or present company for which you worked and/or your current or former boss. On that same note, complaining about customers is not a good idea either!
  3. That you hate your job and want to leave
  4. That you plan on taking a sick day
  5. That you plan on going on vacation
  6. Information related to your daily schedule/routine
  7. The current ‘drama’ in the lives of your friends
  8. Issues you are having with family members
  9. Photos or video clips showing you doing something stupid, dangerous or illegal
As a word of caution, you also need to know that all information found on social media is fair game. Your LinkedIn profile and Facebook profile should be treated in the same manner; there are no ‘islands’ in cyberspace. As a simple guideline, use the following Litmus test: If you don’t want your grandmother to know about it, don’t post it on any of your social media profiles.
